Hi there! I’m Marissa Redmann, a photographer currently based in Madison Wi . I believe the best photos are about more than what you look like, they're about who you are. My goal is to capture your personality, your energy, and the little moments that make you uniquely you. Whether you're in front of the camera all the time or feel a little nervous, I want your session to feel relaxed, fun, and true to you.
My Story
I've been drawn to photography for as long as I can remember. Growing up surrounded by nature, I fell in love with noticing the beauty in everyday moments. Before I ever got my first camera, I would mentally "take pictures" of the things I wished I could capture, storing them away like photographs in my memory.
As I got older, I realized what I love most isn't just beautiful light or a perfectly composed image. It's the moments that often go unnoticed, the laugh that slips out between conversations, the quiet pauses, the confidence hidden in someone's posture, or the way a person's personality shines through when they forget the camera is there.
That's what I hope to create for every person I photograph: images that feel genuine, tell your story, and let you see yourself the way the people who love you do.
What I Do
I capture portraits that are intentional & honest, no overly forced poses, no pretending.
My goal is to create space where people feel seen and safe: where identity can breathe, where expressions come out naturally, and where one’s aura (yes, the vibes!) can shine.
Whether it’s a solo session, couples, families, or creative projects, I approach every shoot as a collaboration, we’ll talk, laugh, sometimes be quiet, and always aim for images that reflect you.
Outside the Lens
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll most likely find me enjoying nature , with family & friends, or stuck in a book. These moments feed how I see the world, and they show up in my work, in the way I notice light, textures, and mood.
